Current opportunities

The Benton County District Attorney’s Office currently has two opportunities for individuals interested in working with the Victim Assistance Program.

If you are interested in one or both positions, please fill out an application for each.

Volunteer Opportunity

Become a crime victim assistant and assist child abuse victims and their families.

Applicants will receive training that will prepare them for all areas of advocacy.

Interested parties are encouraged to call the Victim Assistance Program at 541-766-6385.

Practicum Opportunity

Become an intern and gaining first hand knowledge about the criminal justice system. Interns work under the assistance of the Victim Assistance Coordinator.

As an intern you will experience a hands-on introduction to the criminal justice system, earn college credits, make contacts with professionals, and receive career training.

Duties include notifying victims of their rights, assisting victims with their case status, researching and investigating, and determining restitution.
